OVIC Hotel opened its doors in 2021 at 65 Ihama Road, in Benin City’s Government Reserved Area. The idea was straightforward and, in this city, still unusual: build somewhere that feels like a private house rather than a lobby, put it minutes from the airport, and staff it with people who are actually pleased to see you.
The hotel is run on family-inspired values by a management team with more than twelve years of hospitality experience between them. That shows up in small things — the front desk that never closes, the housekeeper who notices you take two pillows, the kitchen that will make you breakfast at 05:00 if your flight demands it.
Thirty-six rooms across six types means we are large enough to host a conference and small enough that the manager knows who is in the building. We intend to stay that size.

Why the G.R.A.
The Government Reserved Area is Benin City’s residential reservation — wide streets, mature trees, embassies and quiet. It is the only part of the city where you can sleep with the window open and hear nothing.
It is also, conveniently, three kilometres from the runway and three and a half from King’s Square. You lose nothing by staying out here except the noise.
